How long do running shoes last?

If you’re taking care of your running shoes, they should last long enough to cover 400-500 miles. Shoes will last longer if you properly untie the laces to remove them, store them away from direct heat and sunlight, and wash them by hand rather than using a washing machine.

How often should you change running shoes?

You should change your running shoes every 400-500 miles. Replace your shoes sooner if the midsole starts to feel too soft, large sections of the rubber sole are worn, or one or both shoes don’t sit straight when placed on a flat surface.

How should running shoes fit?

The correct fit for running shoes will probably be different to the fit of your everyday shoes. There should be roughly between half and a full thumb’s width of space between your toes and the end of your running shoes. Your heel should fit tighter than in your regular shoes to prevent too much sideways movement.

Should you size up in running shoes?

If there is less than half to a full thumb’s width of space between your toes and the end of your running shoes, you should consider going up half a size to give your foot more room. You can measure your feet using a pen and paper to work out the correct size running shoes.

What are the different types of ASICS running shoes?

Different types of running shoes are equipped with various levels of support. The ASICS range of running shoes includes neutral-cushioned, stability, motion-control, and trail-running shoes, all of which are specifically designed to deliver the perfect amount of support for different foot shapes and running and pronation styles.
