What's New in the GT-2000™ 15 Shoe

Aug 03, 2026

Since it first launched in 2012, the GT-2000 running shoe series has continued to blend stability, comfort, and versatility for daily training. Sitting alongside the bestselling GEL-KAYANO® series, it's a staple for runners who want a responsive, energetic feel with plenty of support. The new GT-2000 15 shoe carries that legacy forward with reduced weight, improved cushioning, and a more energetic ride.

Why choose a stability shoe?

Some runners experience overpronation when they run, which means they land on the outside of the heel and roll inward with each step. Stability shoes can help guide your stride forward with each step, resisting excessive movements that could lead to discomfort while running.

The new GT-2000 15 shoe utilizes our 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM, a premium stability technology that uses advanced geometry to guide the foot forward from landing through toe-off for a smooth, supportive ride.

What’s updated (and what’s familiar) in the GT-2000™ 15 shoe

As part of our kaizen design philosophy — a Japanese term meaning "continuous improvement" — the GT-2000 15 shoe builds on the GT-2000 14 shoe's design with key updates designed to enhance comfort, feel, and energy return.

Choosing between these two stability trainers comes down to personal preference. The GT-2000 15 shoe provides a lighter, more nimble feel that combines reliable support with a responsive ride. By comparison, the GEL-KAYANO® 33 is a heavier shoe focused on high stability and plush comfort – ideal for runners who want a more supportive, cushioned ride.
