I am passionate about running and enjoy the mental and physical benefits it brings, I recently completed the London marathon where I set my personal best of 3:54.
You will often find me running in groups and getting my friends and peers into running, I enjoy hearing the individual stories that each runner brings and understanding their reasons for getting into the sport.
I like encouraging friends, family and the local community to get active by running. During COVID-19 I set up a WhatsApp group and created a "Running League" where people gained points for the number of times they ran during the week to my surprise this grew and many are now regularly running and taking part in races.
Running is an accessible sport but I have noticed the lack of representation and this is something I am keen to change so using the power of social media I try to present an authentic outlook on what it's like running in the hope that it might inspire others to take part.
