GEL NIMBUS™ 23

The GEL NIMBUS™ 23 could be described as both plush and durable. It holds the familiar 10mm pitch for men and 13mm for women and contains both rear and forefoot GEL and a new, softer SOCK LINER and MIDSOLE construction to give an immediate underfoot, soft feel.

The MIDSOLE uses both FLYTEFOAM™ and FLYTEFOAM™ PROPEL, giving the combination of high mileage durability whilst providing ever constant focus on underfoot softness and propulsive response. There is a subtle TRUSSTIC UNDERFOOT, giving proprioceptive aid for the fatiguing foot at mid-stance. Weight has been dropped by reducing the outsole thickness, allowing the shoe to also be more responsive at FOREFOOT flexion and take off.

Where the shoe has gained noticeable improvement in comfort is in the foot surrounds. The upper wraps like a custom glove around the ankle, almost soft tourniquet style. Combined with the FOAM HEEL WRAP and INTEGRATED TOUNGE, it is highly reassuring for the unstable ankle. It is also noticeable when running on steep camber, the foot does not move across the MIDSOLE, instead, is held within it.
