ASICS has partnered with Berlin-based artist Dennis Buck to craft 30 pairs of GEL-KAYANO™ 14 sneakers to be raffled for charity by Voo Store online between June 25th & July 2nd 2021. All proceeds from the crafted pairs will be donated by Voo Store to support Stiftung Deutsche Depressionshilfe (a German foundation focusing on improving the mental health of affected individuals).
The partnership is the start of the ASICS Crafts for Minds program (CFM), reinforcing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into creating long lasting products with purpose. In the process Buck has taken his signature craft for silicone paintings to create this limited collection. When speaking about crafting the collection Buck told ASICS:
“Having the privilege of being an artist and being able to do whatever I want is the best thing in the world. That's what keeps my mind and body sound, at most times.
Making art helps me being a more balanced character, it puts your mind to peace. Imagine how much worse I’d be without being able to have that output. You would not want to meet 9-5 Dennis”
Being in peace with one's mind is probably one of the most desired mental states in today's hectic daily life. With the CFM program, ASICS SportStyle pursues making an actionable contribution to move people's minds, helping them to stay balanced.

ASICS SportStyle will extend the CFM activation to London and Amsterdam. The totality of all earnings from all artist partnerships are donated to charitable institutions in Europe addressing mental health. Stay tuned to ASICS Launches for future partnerships coming soon.
