Your favourite workout?
I always do aerobic, stretching, strengthening, and balance workouts.
Aerobics.
Aerobic exercise, also known as cardio exercise or cardiovascular exercise, refers to activities that increase the heart rate and breathing rate to improve cardiovascular health and overall endurance.I enjoy running and I run almost every day and now I’m a sub4 marathoner. Running gives a multitude of benefits for both physical and mental well-being for me.
Strength training
As we age, we lose muscle mass. Strength training builds it back. It can be done with free weights, resistance bands, or using bodyweight exercises.
Stretching
Stretching helps maintain flexibility. Stretching the muscles routinely makes them longer and more flexible, which increases your range of motion and reduces pain and the risk for injury. I always warm up and cool down 15-30 minutes before and after doing any workouts.
Balance exercises
Improving your balance makes you feel steadier on your feet and helps prevent falls. For me I do Balance exercise by doing yoga. Yoga is a holistic workout that combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. It helps increase flexibility, improve strength and stability, and promotes relaxation and mindfulness.
Remember, it's important to start gradually, listen to your body, and consult with a healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise regimen. Proper warm-up, stretching, and wearing appropriate footwear are also essential for a safe and enjoyable running experience.
