The original inspiration for the GEL-SD LYTE™ shoes was an egg, consisting of a shell and an inner membrane. The primary focus of the design was to protect the foot from external environments.

The shell concept is incorporated into the shoe's midsole and upper mold. This design was developed to provide cushioning and a supportive fit.

The progressive tooling system features FLYTEFOAM™ PROPEL cushioning. This material helps deliver enhanced comfort and a more energized feel underfoot.
