The GEL-NIMBUS® LITE 2 running shoe continues to build on our GEL-NIMBUS® heritage by providing neutral runners with a lighter design and excellent cushioning. While the first iteration focused on combining a soft and lightweight design, this version builds on that same mindset but creates an even smoother cushioning experience. Part of our brand's sustainability initiative, this style also features a series of recycled materials while using fewer resources for a more eco-friendly design approach. Nearly the entire upper of the GEL-NIMBUS® LITE 2 is formed with recycled materials that help your feet breathe better throughout your run. Simultaneously, the FLYTEFOAM® midsole technology incorporates Cellulose Nanofiber, a sustainable material that increases the durability of the foam. Designed with an advanced software program that helps improve the shoe's cushioning properties, this model also references the design language of the GEL-NIMBUS® series while creating a lighter and softer running experience. Meanwhile, the GEL® technology cushioning in the forefoot and rearfoot improves comfort while increasing shock absorption. Fusing advanced tech with design nuances that halo our GEL-NIMBUS® series, the GEL-NIMBUS® LITE 2 running shoe is part of our mission to help create a more sustainable world while offering soft cushioning and lightweight comfort.
Pronation
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-NIMBUS LITE 2 is made for Underpronation and Neutral.

Relaxed Fit Shoe
I am a 40 year old male, 5ft 10in 160 pounds and run 5 miles outdoors daily. I purchased these shoes, because I have had Nimbus in the past and thought they were great. I purchased these NIMBUS LITE mainly because the GLIDERIDE 2 was not available yet and I needed to buy new running shoes. I was also eager to try a new model and the styling of this shoe is very attractive. However, I feel they run large, compared to the KAYANO and GLIDERIDE models that I ran with last year. Compared to the KAYANO and GLIDERIDE, these feel like a relaxed fit, baggy shoe. They feel lazy and unresponsive. I ordered the same size I always order and these are wide. There is a lot of excess fabric and nothing holding my foot in place, from side to side. I wish I could have tried these on first. Also, the sole of the shoe is not fluid. It is bumpy and lacks any traction. They are very lightweight and look cool!

Most comfortable Asics Shoe
I liked the original Gel-Nimbus, felt that Asics finally got cushion right. This new Lite-2 surpasses the original. It is light, has a springy cushion feel, not mushy, and enough responsiveness for me. I like the wider base, provides my foot just the right amount of support. I wear it for walking and working out. Asics scores on this model. I'm hoping
Asics will add some colorways as time goes on.

Best of all time
I bought brooks ghost 13, nimbus 23, kayano lite, hoka rincon2 and nimbus lite 2 in last few months. Nimbus lite is definitely best. Nimbus lite 2 finds the balance, I can do easy run, easy tempo training with it. The toebox is just right, my foot is a little bit wider than average, the shoes are not too wide or too narrow, just perfect. The insole has enough cushioning, not very responsive but ok for me, which is expected. No hotspots, still feel refresh after a long run.

Extremely lightweight and comfortable, I’m still breaking them in but really enjoying the Gel Nimbus Lite 2’s so far.

Nimbus GOAT
I've had asics nimbus in my rotation since forever... and the new lite 2 is my all time favorite and I've only had it a couple of weeks. Greatest Of All Time! Substantially lighter than the og nimbus, perfect balance of cushion and pop to create a shoe that covers miles, recovery and legit tempo. The fit is awesome for me too. I have a wider than average foot and the toe box is perfect. Great to see asics getting out of the 1980's with the style update too. ;) Hopefully as durable as the og nimbus. Time will tell. At this stage 100% recommended.

Comfy and light
Comfy and light. Insole is a little bumpy, but I’m hopeful they’ll flatten out in time.
