Designed with a deeply personal connection to his childhood, this colorway takes inspiration from Stefon’s memories of growing up, when he would receive just one pair of shoes to last the entire school year. With his mother’s practicality in mind, making sure that pair stayed fresh, Stefon’s vision for this new design was inspired by his childhood, friends and family.

A signature element Stefon insisted on including is his mother’s handwriting on the woventongue labels, reading ‘These are your play shoes,’ a sentimental reminder that shoesare made for movement and memories. Stefon worked closely with ASICS designers to evolve his original Friends & Family pair intothis bold new statement, built on a clean white mesh base updated with bold new energy. A clean white mesh base and metallic silver overlays are energized by hits of electric red and glow yellow. Unexpected pops of color continue through rainbow-reflective piping wrapping the toe and heel, along with reflective tiger stripes that shift from black to blue under light. Elastic laces round out the design with a playful nod to childhood.
