Today, ASICS estimates that of the 23.9 billion pairs of shoes produced annually worldwide, 95% of them will become landfill waste. This equates to roughly 20 million tons of waste every year. How NIMBUS MIRAI^™ is different.

Every component of the NIMBUS MIRAI^™ shoe is designed with sustainability in mind. In fact, its carbon footprint is 57% lower* than the industry average. It starts with an ASICS original glue that provides a durable bond, but can easily be pulled apart during the recycling process. In the midsole, FF BLAST^™ PLUS ECO cushioning provides the cloud-like comfort you love with approximately 24% renewable sources. Finally, the uniform polyester upper has zero overlays for more efficient recycling.

When (and where) to return your shoe.

NIMBUS MIRAI^™ doesn’t compromise on performance. It’s built to be worn, run in, and put through its paces. Once your pair shows normal signs of wear & tear, simply return it via ASICS.com or at the ASICS store in New York City’s meatpacking district. Our partner, TerraCycle^®, will then move the shoes into the recycling process.
