The GEL-CUMULUSÂź 16 GRADE SCHOOL sneaker sources inspiration from the distance running shoe that was popular in 2014.
Its upper construction references the look of technical mid-2010s running shoes, featuring a fusion of synthetic leather overlays, no-sew paneling, and open mesh underlays.
The tooling design is also influenced by ASICSÂź Institute of Sport Science insights and developed with greater flexibility in the forefoot and stability in the midfoot to help support kids' growing feet. The design is inspired by ASICSÂź archive models and combines the flowing lines and scalloped edges of the 2000s and 2010s.
