Originally created by GEL-LYTEā„¢ III designer, Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1995, the GEL-MC PLUSā„¢ sneaker returns from the ASICS running archive with a reimagined midsole design. Evolving the upper with a leather and mesh construction, this shoe emphasizes the notion of ā€œMotion Control,ā€ featuring its nylon midfoot strap on the medial angle that helped runners in the 90s reduce pronation. Technical for its time, we redesigned the midsole with the GEL-CUMULUSĀ® 17 running shoe tooling to evolve the designā€™s retro aesthetic while improving its cushioning.
