The GEL-NYCℱ 2.0 GTX sneaker sources inspiration from heritage and modern performance running styles.​

Its upper construction references the GEL-1050ℱ sneaker from the year 2000.​ This design also implements a GORE-TEX¼ membrane and branding to help keep your feet dry in wet conditions.

The newly designed tooling references the GEL-1050ℱ sneaker, as well as the GEL-LYTEℱ DS II shoe outsole influences for lifestyle purposes. Through a combination of TRUSSTIC¼ support units, GEL¼ technology inserts, and FF BLASTℱ PLUS cushioning, this midsole formation creates a lighter and more comfortable feel than the first version.
