The GEL-NYCā„¢ GRADE SCHOOL sneaker sources inspiration from heritage and modern performance running styles.ā€‹

Its upper construction references the GEL-NIMBUSĀ® 3 shoe from the early 2000s and blends it with various embellishments from the GEL-MC PLUSā„¢ V design.ā€‹ These details are also met with tumbled leather overlays for a modern look.

The tooling design is also influenced by ASICSĀ® Institute of Sport Science insights and developed with greater flexibility in the forefoot and stability in the midfoot to help support kids' growing feet. The design is inspired by ASICSĀ® archive models and combines the flowing lines and scalloped edges of the 2000s and 2010s.
