What's the difference between the GEL-NIMBUS® 27 and GEL-NIMBUS® 28 shoes?
The new ASICS GEL-NIMBUS® 28 shoe is lighter than its predecessor. We cut between 20 and 25 grams from the shoe without sacrificing the cushioning that the GEL-NIMBUS® name is known for. Long runs will still be easy on your legs, and you'll experience soft landings and smooth strides. We also redesigned the shoe's upper using an engineered knit material that's breathable and supports stability.
GEL-NIMBUS® 28 shoe vs. other ASICS running shoes
Every running shoe has unique properties that suit different runners. ASICS GEL-NIMBUS® 28 shoe is for runners seeking shock absorption, comfort and a lightweight feel in a neutral running shoe.
Unlike the GEL-NIMBUS® model, the GEL-KAYANO® shoe features structural support that controls overpronation and guides a more stable stride. The NOVABLAST® model has a unique shape that offers an energized run. In contrast, the GEL-NIMBUS® shoe uses ASICS PureGEL™ technology for a softer, cushioned and more comfortable run. The GEL-NIMBUS® running shoe also has more foam in the underfoot for comfort compared to the lighter-weight GEL-CUMULUS® model.
