The GEL-KAYANO™ 30 celebrates 30 years of innovative stability and cushioning. This revolutionary iteration of the iconic model focuses on delivering holistic, adaptive stability with premium comfort underfoot. It is ideal for runners looking for a combination of moderate support and high-cushioning during their run.
What makes GEL-KAYANO™ 30 running shoe so supportive and comfortable?
Our new foot stabilising innovation, 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™, is found in the midsole. This new technology helps to steady your stride on your run.
New PureGEL™ technology improves softness and shock absorption to reduce the impact on your joints and keep you running comfortably.
FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO foam delivers softer landing and energised cushioning to keep you feeling comfortable on harder surfaces.
The Upper Knit material is engineered for a comfortable, stable fit and feel.
What is the 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ ?
Developed at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) in Japan, there are four key elements that work together to support your run.
- Midsole geometry and design features including a lateral decoupling groove
- Medial convex geometry
- A newly designed lateral guidance line
- A new midfoot foam that provides comfort for the fatiguing foot.
Low arches or flat feet
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
Engineered stretch knit upper improves breathability and secure fit
External back heel counter helps keep the foot stable and provide a more comfortable stride
4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ feature helps create adaptive stability for a more balanced stride
Rearfoot PureGEL™ technology helps provide lightweight cushioning and softer landings
FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning is made with approximately 20% bio-based content and helps provide cloud-like comfort
OrthoLite™ X-55 sockliner improves comfort
Reflective details designed to help improve visibility
AHARPLUS™ heel plug improves the outsole durability
At least 75% of the shoe’s main upper material is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions
The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology
