How to Measure Your Clothing Size

By measuring yourself properly you can make sure you choose the right size for your ASICS apparel. The way your ASICS clothing sits on your body can directly affect your performance and help you to reach your goals. That’s why it’s worth spending a few minutes measuring yourself. Here’s how…

Step 1: Measure yourself

1. Chest / Bust

The tape measure should be snug around your chest – not so tight that it constricts breathing, but not so loose that it can slide down. Make sure to keep the tape measure level so that it’s straight and parallel with the floor.

2. Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline – this is the point where your body creases when you bend slightly forwards.

3. Hips

Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips – make sure to keep the tape horizontal while measuring.

4. Inside leg for our range of shorts

Measure from the top of your inner leg to your ankle. Make sure you’re standing straight while you do it. Round up the measurement to the nearest half inch or 1cm.

Step 2: Find your right size

Don’t worry if you fall between sizes – for a looser fit, choose a larger size, and for a tighter fit, choose a smaller size.
