AOC And ASICS Team Up For Tokyo

ASICS has a long and decorated history with the Olympic Games, but this is the first time we have partnered with the Australian Olympic team.

We are excited and honoured to partner with the AOC family as the footwear and apparel partner and are in a unique position in that we will outfit every Australian Olympic team at the games except swimming. This is the only team in the world with this sort of partnership with a brand.

The ASICS philosophy of achieving a sound mind in a sound body through sport is a natural extension of the Olympic ideal that participation is more important than winning.

Australian Olympic Replica Range

The Australian Olympic Team Replica Range has been created so that Australian fans are able to support the team from afar during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

This Olympics clothing and gear items incorporates the DNA of the garments worn by Australia's best athletes.

This carefully curated range is a snap shot of the larger delegation range worn by the Australian Olympic Team and are decorated with an origami print which is a feature of the range and represents the connection between tradition and technology.

How was the Olympics apparel designed?

The over arching concept is based around the ancient art form of origami. You can see the diagonal pattern that’s created in the Olympics clothing and accessories takes its inspiration from this beautiful art form. We call this design Japanism, which is the mixing and blending of an old art form with new technology..

Technology behind the ASICS Olympics gear

The technology featured within this Olympics clothing and gear collection is focused on comfort and ease of movement. We have used 100% cotton and technical polyester in the outer wear garments. We have also used cotton and polyester blends in the Olympic Games t-shirts and polos to ensure great hand feel and fit.

Olympics collection made with sustainability in mind

Sustainability is a key focus for ASICS as a company. We wanted to make sure we could use sustainable and recycled materials where possible without limiting performance. This together with our wider sustainable practices has ensured that we were able to produce a Summer Olympics collection that is made with 30% recycled material.
