Shop trendsetting styles for all-day comfort
ASICS Sportstyle shoes, apparel and accessories are the contemporary fashion choice for casual, everyday wear. The athleisure appeal of the range is inspired by ASICS performance sport heritage and adapted for comfort while running errands, doing a light workout at the gym and going about your day. ASICS streetwear style designs feature ASICS technology for versatile comfort and support.
What does sportstyle mean?
Sportstyle mixes performance features with design elements that add personal flair and style to your daily look. The trendy style is a way to smoothly move from working out to daily life, without interruption. The sports street style line from ASICS offers durability, high quality materials and advanced technology that sets the range apart.
What shoes stand out as sportstyle choices? The ASICS GEL-NYCāā™ sneakers are a standout in our sportstyle and lifestyle collection. For running shoes that offer everyday comfort, consider the GEL-KAYANOāā™ 14 shoe.
ASICS Sportstyle incorporates a variety of ASICS technologies to support everyday movement, from running errands to gym sessions or your next adventure, you can do it all with a combination of style and all-day comfort. The most popular of these utilises ASICS GELāā™ technology, used in our GEL-QUANTUMāā™ sneaker styles.
What do you mean by athleisure?
Athleisure shoes and clothing is a trendy style that combines the comfort and function of sportswear and footwear with fashion. This crossover of high-performance shoes and clothing into everyday wear started as people increasingly wore sport items outside the gym and off the track. Rappers and influencers popularised the trend and made it global.
Athleisure is a fitness-meets-lifestyle trend that involves wearing items designed for sport as complete outfits in streetwear style. Sportstyle is slightly different, adding athletic items to a casual outfit — think sneakers with jeans, instead of sneakers with sweatpants. Items that can complete your athleisure look include the ASICS VENTILATE BLOUSON JACKET or HOODIE worn with GEL-QUANTUM 360āā™ VIII training shoes.
What is considered streetwear? Is it different from athleisure?
Athleisure fashion centers on an athletic style or sport aesthetic with performance features and adds a level of comfort that is also stylish enough to wear in everyday, non-sport situations. Examples include the HALF SLEEVED CREW NECK, the GEL KAYANOāā™ 20 shoe, and the DETACHABLE PANTS hat.
Streetwear is more urban and trendy, blending styles worn in the skate culture and hip-hop worlds. Bold graphics and logos dominate over performance and comfort.
What makes ASICS a popular choice for trendsetters?
Sportstyle values good design combined with high-performance features. In looking at trendy style influences, it is easy to see why so many leisure style fans choose ASICS:
- Nostalgia and retro style choices have brought classic ASICS styles from the 1990s and earlier to the fore. The chunky throwback "dad shoe” trend is an example.
- Just because you are running around town instead of the track does not mean you need to sacrifice the athlete-designed-and-tested performance of advanced technologies, combined with high-quality materials.
- Limited edition and designer collaborations bring to market sought-after and highly collectible models.
- ASICS has mastered the fusion of performance, comfort and practicality with a trendy style aesthetic.
- With ASICS, you can find trendsetting styles that bring fashion to workouts and comfortable performance to everyday life.
- The semi-annual sale and markdowns are ideal opportunities to save and make a statement.
