UP THERE X GEL-TERRAIN

For our third collaboration ASICS and Australian retailer UP THERE once again turn to nature. Working on the GEL-TERRAIN sneaker and complimentary apparel, the collection uses organic inspiration juxtaposed with synthetic materials.

The GEL-TERRAIN wears a palette of mauve, lavender and grey which draws from the autumnal hues of fallen leaves in the Australian bush. Hits of acid yellow and hot red provide a jarring contrast to this subdued palette.

Reflective underlays wear a pattern which draws from leaf venation—natural veins within leaves which help plants harness the sun’s energy.

The sneaker is complimented by a suite of custom-made apparel comprising a t-shirt, jacket and hat sharing colour and motifs with the shoe. Using synthetic materials and natural inspiration, the collection contrasts elements of organic and man-made.
