Your role in our shared journey

Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll contribute to our mission by supporting financial control operations for our Direct-to-Consumer retail channels. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in month-end closing processes, cash flow reconciliation for retail stores, and audit preparation, whilst learning to maintain accurate financial records in compliance with J-SOX and local regulatory requirements.

Your role will be instrumental in weaving the fabric of our movement, bringing unique perspectives and driving innovation with every step. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Support monthly closing activities for DTC ASICS Europe, including preparation of accruals, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Reconcile cash flows for retail stores across the EMEA region to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Maintain financial records and perform account reconciliations whilst learning internal control requirements under J-SOX compliance.
• Coordinate store administration tasks and manage the department inbox for efficient communication.
• Gather and organise documentation for internal and external audits, including year-end audit preparations.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting for assigned countries within the ASICS EMEA region.
• Work within J-SOX compliance and local regulatory requirements to maintain financial integrity.

You have the following skills:

• Must be enrolled at a Dutch University for the entire duration of the internship.
• Availability from September for 5-6 months.
• Finance, Accounting, Business Administration studies.
• Strong numerical abilities and attention to detail.
• Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas and functions.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn SAP financial software.
