The GEL-KAYANO^® shoe offers the most stable running experience in our lineup. It’s designed to control each stride, resist movements that could cause injury, and provide soft landings with smooth transitions. Our Design Philosophy

At ASICS, our design philosophy is based on kaizen, a Japanese word meaning “continuous improvement.” With each iterate on of a shoe, we carefully consider customer feedback, wear test data, and technological improvements to guide our next steps. This means it was carefully evaluated by a committee of podiatrists — doctors who specialize in treating the foot, ankle, and structures of the leg — to ensure that it promotes good foot health. The committee also assesses safety, quality control, and other data, so you can step into your new shoes with confidence.
