From there, you can start developing your running technique, and ultimately go faster and longer as you become a more experienced runner.
Tips for building your running regime:
- Start out slow. It might just be a 15 minute run, but with some persistence, you can progress to 30 minutes and 45 minutes. Soon, you’ll be running for up to 1 hour or even longer.
- Make the process more enjoyable. One of the best ways to start running is to find a running partner. Go with a friend, or join a club or running network--whatever you do, just do the work together.
There is no shortcut to getting fit for running. It takes time, but as long as you’re putting in the miles, the results will be worth it. Get your running shoes and running gear ready to go, then hit the road!
