Your role in our shared journey

Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you will serve as the commercial engine of the ASICS EMEA Ecommerce function. As Ecommerce Trading Manager, you will own the end-to-end trading cycle, from assortment alignment and category performance analysis through to promotional campaign coordination, revenue forecasting, and Business Control alignment, ensuring that all digital channel activity across EMEA is optimised against revenue and margin targets. Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you will be the primary commercial contact point for Finance, MDSM, Digital Marketing, Categories, and IT: the person who connects strategic trading intent with operational delivery across every function that touches the ASICS digital storefront.

With the commercial playbook in mind, this newly created position is where that strategy gets translated into sharp, disciplined execution. The right person will design the commercial trading function itself, shaping the ways of working that bring the plan to life. For a commercially driven, data-first professional who thrives on cross-functional influence this is a rare opening at a growing global brand with strong tooling already in place and a clear mandate to activate it.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Trading Strategy & Commercial Performance — develop and execute data-led trading strategies to achieve online revenue and margin targets across all EMEA digital channels (Full price and Outlets) set the commercial direction that guides onsite merchandising execution priorities; drive performance through strategic pricing decisions aligned to ASICS commercial objectives.
• Promotional & Campaign Coordination — plan and coordinate end-to-end promotional campaigns across all Ecommerce channels in alignment with DTC strategy and MDSM; provide commercial direction on timing, sequencing, and mechanics to Onsite Merchandising, Content, and Digital Enablement; act as the commercial liaison ensuring the right product is activated at the right time across the right touchpoints. Note: this role directs cross-functional execution teams, not direct execution.
• Category Performance & Analysis — own category-level commercial performance reporting across all Ecommerce channels; analyse customer buying behaviours and seasonal patterns to identify growth and risk by category; monitor trading performance using GA4, ContentSquare, and BI tools; produce regular trading reports and present performance updates and strategic recommendations to the Head of Ecommerce; build and maintain live trading dashboards as the commercial source of truth for the team.
• MDSM & Assortment Alignment — act as the commercial bridge between Buying, Planning, and eCommerce; provide support with data-led recommendations for online assortment (ranging, depth, breadth) ensuring alignment to seasonal trading strategy and channel-specific requirements.
• Forecasting & Business Control Alignment — own Ecommerce revenue forecasting and the commercial calendar; ensure trading forecasts are aligned with Finance and Business Control cycles; proactively flag risks and opportunities against forecast to the Head of Ecommerce and Finance stakeholders with clear commercial reasoning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration — act as the primary commercial contact for Digital Marketing, Finance, Buying, IT, and Business Control; provide clear commercial briefs and strategic direction to all digital channel stakeholders; ensure all trading activity reflects ASICS brand values and EMEA commercial objectives.

You have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7 years in an Ecommerce trading or digital commercial role with clear ownership of revenue and margin performance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute data-led trading strategies across digital channels; strategic ownership of the full trading cycle, not execution or operations alone.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end promotional campaigns; briefing and directing cross-functional execution teams (Merchandising, Content, Traffic, Performance Marketing) and managing sequencing, timing, and commercial mechanics across multiple channels simultaneously.
• Proficiency in GA4 and ContentSquare; able to build custom reports, monitor conversion funnels, identify category performance trends, and connect UX metrics to commercial outcomes independently.
• Experience with at least one BI platform (Tableau, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud, or equivalent); independently builds and maintains live trading dashboards used as the commercial source of truth.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency, builds flexible trading models, promotional planning scenarios, and revenue forecasts independently without reliance on others.
• Experience with Ecommerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud preferred) and/or SAP for commercial reporting; able to provide clear, technically informed commercial briefs to digital and IT teams.
• Proven experience collaborating across a complex matrix organisation with Finance, Business Control, MDSM, and Digital Marketing as primary stakeholders.
  Proven DTC (Direct to Consumer) Ecommerce experience; wholesale, B2B, FMCG, or operations-only digital backgrounds without direct channel ownership are not suitable for this role.
• Multi-market EMEA trading scope with experience managing a substantial number of SKUs across multiple categories.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional European languages are a plus.
• Experience in a global sports, lifestyle, or fashion brand with EMEA multi-market trading scope is a plus.
• Familiarity with A/B testing, personalisation strategies, or agile ways of working in a digital commerce context is a plus.
