How ASICS is working towards a more sustainable future

ASICS has committed to a sustainability strategy that includes reducing our reliance on non-sustainable materials and processes. This page will be updated as our sustainability ambitions evolve.

ASICS believes in a sustainable future for all

At ASICS our ethos of nurturing ‘a sound mind in a sound body’ is at the core of everything we do. But we recognise that our ethos doesn’t solely apply to individual sports men and women. If we as global citizens hope to care for our mental and physical well being, then we have a duty to support the wellbeing of the world around us. The health of our planet impacts on each and every one of us, and by helping to make sure the air is clean and flora and fauna are thriving, we hope that runners and sports players will have clean air to breathe and beautiful spaces in which to exercise, both now and for future generations.

As a global brand, we feel it’s our responsibility to innovate and educate while developing the best products and services in our industry. For us, that means products that support healthy lifestyles by helping our customers move, enjoy sport and improve their sporting performance. It also means products that are developed in a way that considers the environmental impact at every stage of their life cycle, including design, production processes and business operations.

With that in mind, we have committed to a sustainability strategy that includes reducing our reliance on non-sustainable materials and processes, with the goal of moving towards more sustainable alternatives  for those materials by the year 2030.

Below is a breakdown on our sustainability ambitions for the most common materials we use, the unique challenges and opportunities we face, and an honest appraisal of where we are now in relation to our targets.
