The GEL-KINETIC FR sneaker reinterprets the design language from the GEL-KINETIC and GEL-FRANTIC series—now reimagined through a distinctly romantic lens by Cecilie Bahnsen. Its archival details are met with a newly developed tooling system that helps promote advanced comfort for everyday lifestyles, arriving in two unique colorways.

The upper's synthetic quarter-panels are combined with a feather lasting silhouette, references emblematic of the GEL-FRANTIC series's progression across various models in the 2000s. Cecilie Bahnsen reinterprets this silhouette through a Mary-Jane inspired upper, secured with double velcro straps that reimagine the iconic ASICS Stripes, finished with floral appliqués that soften the technical silhouette. The traditional tongue has been replaced with a half tongue construction, complemented by a signature floral lace puller for a comfortable closure, while decorative beads and charms on the laces further reinforce the feminine theme.

A rich material mix elevates the upper, combining high-shine synthetic leather, 3D-printed mesh, and embossed floral textures to create depth and dimension. Subtle Cecilie Bahnsen branding is embossed on the heel among floral details, reflecting her signature aesthetic.

The sole unit features an updated scutoid GEL technology structure studied at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science. Applying insights from walking-specific motions and foot pressures, this cushioning system repositions the GEL technology pods more directly underfoot for better impact absorption and all-day comfort.
