The GECKO XT trail shoe for men brings a new experience to your trail runs with the power of GeckoTrac rubber. The newly designed sole in the GECKO XT gives you exceptional grip on slippery surfaces including rocks, tree roots and forest inclines, and has been extensively tested by the institute of sports science at ASICS HQ, in Japan. Another first for the GECKO XT is the addition of the FlyteFoam midsole – the first of our trail shoes to feature the super lightweight midsole material. FlyteFoam works to ensure every one of your steps and jumps is followed by a soft landing without adding weight the shoe.

The GECKO XT is ideal for mid-distance seasoned runners and beginners alike, as the combination of highest performance technology fused with comfort and practicality give you the confidence to take on any trail that lies ahead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very poor fit have worn Cumulus for road running in the past (UK9.5) and Fujitrabuco for trail (UK9.5) and found them both really good shoes that fitted my feet well and gave me no issues. not so the gecko xt - it was too narrow in the mid foot area and pinched down hard on the top of the foot. to make things worse, it was actually too long, with almost an inch space in the toe box. so if you assess the fit of the shoe in 3 'dimensions' (length, width and height), it was a poor fit in every respect. oh dear, had to go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trail shoes Just bought them last week so still on the first stages. Very confortable shoe, nice sole and the foam makes running in bad tracks very easy. I would probably recommend that you buy one number bigger than yours though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic and grippy trail shoes I have been using the Gecko XT shoes for the past year and they are fantastic. Great grip and really durable. Fantastic drainage if you're going in and out of water so i'd really recommend to any OCR or trail runners.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Genuine Runner Review I have used Asics for around 30 years and just purchased 2 pairs of these shoes. I have completed a few runs in these from 5 - 7 minute mile pace. The shoes are light weight, hug well to your foot and the lace tidy is useful. Over the tracks the shoes give good grip and comfort from stones etc. On the tarmac they also perform well so overall really pleased. There is a but though! My last 4 pairs of shoes from Asics have all been ever more disappointing in longevity. DS trainers have lasted only 300miles for the 20 & 21 models. For the 22 they lasted less then 200 miles before my toes were poking through the tops and holes in the side of the shoes. Really disappointing! These shoes do appear to be of a similar upper material / construction. So beware of longevity. If these do not last 500 miles minimum I will be moving to another brand where Asics customer service don't want to know about after sales issues. Happy running!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from rather narrow and small for advertised size Smallest pair of size 10 trainers I ever seen. Too narrow at front made for uncomfortable running experience
