Carbon footprint values for everyday items (non-ASICS products) are not verified by ASICS and based on publicly available third-party sources
These values are illustrative of category averages and may vary depending on product type, manufacturing methods, and region.
Every step counts, so we've measured ours
ASICS has measured the carbon footprint of select shoes and put those numbers into perspective alongside everyday feel-good favourites. It's performance you can trust, and impact you can understand, so you can make more informed choices about how you move and what moves you.
Our carbon footprint label
This label reflects our commitment to transparency regarding our carbon emissions. We're measuring and sharing the carbon footprint of our products, allowing you to make decisions that benefit the mind, body and the planet.
Since our founding in 1949, our purpose has been to help people achieve a Sound Mind In A Sound Body. But in order to achieve a Sound Mind in a Sound Body, we need a sound Earth to run on.
So we’re taking action. By reducing CO₂ emissions, embracing recycled materials and using less resources, our goal is to bring the benefits of movement to the world we love to move in.
Our efforts towards circularity
At ASICS, we are shifting to a circular approach in three ways: Less, Cleaner and Longer.
1. Design
Design longer-lasting products
with improved durability
2. Materials
Use recycled, bio-based and
water-efficient options
where possible
3. Production
Source renewable energy and use dyeing techniques that reduce
water usage
4. Use
Constantly improve quality so products last even longer
5. New Life
Encourage ways to extend
product life
*Lifecycle emissions for ASICS products are calculated using ASICS' Carbon Footprint Methodology v1.1 and benchmarked against the most comprehensive
industry-average data available, conducted in partnership with MIT. Learn more about our methodology here.
Our materials
These images are artistic interpretations of recycled or sustainable materials. They may not be actual representations of the specific ASICS product or material used.
*ASICS defines "shoe's main upper material" as the material which covers the most surface area in the upper.
Our sustainability progress

We are the first sports company to have our targeted emissions approved by the Science Based Targets initiative.
