What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases generated over a product’s life cycle. We’re committed to reducing our CO₂ emissions throughout the value chain, so we’re being transparent about how we measure and continuously work to reduce our emissions.
We care about our emissions
We measure the carbon emissions at each stage of a product’s life cycle. Below, we’ve explained the carbon footprint
of our GEL-KAYANO™ 32 shoe, one of ASICS' pinnacle running shoes.
Carbon footprint values for everyday items (non-ASICS products) are not verified by ASICS and based on publicly available third-party sources.
These values are illustrative of category averages and may vary depending on product type, manufacturing methods, and region.
*Lifecycle emissions for ASICS products are calculated using ASICS’ Carbon Footprint Methodology v1.1 and benchmarked against the most comprehensive
industry-average data available, conducted in partnership with MIT. Learn more about our methodology here.
