Rain, snow and lingering puddles will add to your adventure on the trails thanks to the trail specific GT-2000 6 TRAIL PlasmaGuard for women.
The GT-2000 6 TRAIL PlasmaGuard is the go-to women’s trail running shoe for taking aim at your long run off-road targets. It’s built for trail runners of any pace and offers late stage overpronators superior stability, while rear and fore foot ASICS GEL cushions each step for a comfortable, supported ride. And when conditions get harsh, the dedicated earn their advantage thanks to water repellent PlasmaGuard to keep your feet dry and protected against slushy snow, rain and mud.
PlasmaGuard is a nano-technology upper coating that makes the shoe resistant to rain and mud, preventing absorption of water that results in added weight. This layer of protection doesn’t compromise on flexibility or breathability so your feet stay comfortable.
The GT-2000 6 TRAIL PlasmaGuard doesn’t only let you push through unforgiving weather, it also takes you safely into low light and night time runs thanks to 3M reflectivity. Your feet come alive when light hits the reflective detailing, ensuring you stay visible and run safely after dark. The grip tacky trail outsole ensures uphill and downhill traction on all types of terrain while the SpEVA Foam midsole top layer and FlyteFoam midsole bottom later provides the ultimate in bounce back and cushioning characters without adding weight to the shoe.

Definitely not water repellant!
This trainer is very comfortable but I have given it a 1 * as I was specifically looking for a gortex version of this and the telephone advisor suggested this but sadly after one run through a slightly dewy field and my feet are soaking- no difference at all from normal trainers and definitely not at all water repellent. I am very disappointed and unhappy.

GT-2000 plasma trail shoe
Great stability over fields and tracks but the higher back of heel will take some wearing in as it rubbed slightly on my first couple of runs. Highly recommend Asics - best running shoes

Very poor communication if returning an item.
Product certainly comes up a lot smaller in size. So even though l took that into consideration they still were too small. Have returned the item but still awaiting for a refund and have had no communication.

Colour not as expected!
I was really looking forward to getting these shoes. I thought the mesh colour was grey, but it's actually khaki green! This isn't what I expected and a very strange colour combo- sadly I will have to return. Great service and delivered quickly, so cannot fault Asics on that.

A good looking shoe for uncomplicated trails
I was a bit disappointed in the sole of the shoe, not as rutted as I would hope. Having said that, the 'teeth' are sufficient for gravelly paths, canal tow paths, parks and they can cope with some mud. After 4 uses I am yet to slip or slide. These aren't for the serious trail runner. I went half a size up but kind of wish I'd gone a full size as I had to spend a long time loosening the laces ( I don't have a wide foot and I'm generally true to a size 5) I accidentally sploshed into a puddle and a tiny bit of water came in. Obviously we all have a different physique but these trainers make my shins and calves hurt during my warm up walk. Not a bad shoe but not one I have fallen in love with

So far so good!
Needed to go up a half size from my usual, so a bit annoying! But half size made all the difference, very practical colour
